awesome little amp

Cons: the "chorus" sounds really corny. Listen to Roland's promo video of the AC-33 on Youtube and you will hear it. Other than the effects are great.

This amp is really great. The sound is awesome, very natural. I have used it for street performing with rechargeable batteries, and it works good. I wish that some of Roland's more "rugged"-looking amps could sound this good, like the micro-cube and street cube. The only thing that bothers me about this amp is that it does not look as cool as it sounds. It does not look like a badass amp even though it sounds like a badass amp. Hmm, mysteries. This is probably the best-sounding 10 lb amp on the market, with all the options it gives. The looper is addictive and creates all kinds of musical possibilities. Never stop looping. It's so sweet. Super awesome. I love you amp. Forever.

Cons - What it doesn't tell you, is that when using battery power it drops to about 20 watts. 30 watts is when you're plugged in. So you'll still have some trouble being heard when busking (if that's what you're using it for). Also, the feedback kill switch is only really useful when using this as a monitor on stage. The loop machine is OK. Pros - pretty good sound, the removable AA battery pack is cool (especially when you've got rechargables... cheaper to replace those after 6 months of work than the bigger single unit ones). The stereo output helps with making the acoustic instrument sound more like itself and helps to fill in spaces. This is especially good when busking in spaces with naturally good acoustics, and the extra power from an amp will help with things sounding too "cathedral". All in all though, you're paying for a lot of things you don't need if you're a busker. Loop machine is great IF you will actually use it and learn to get it in time.
