2007 Model 503 made by Finnish luthier Ari-Jukka Luomaranta. This Selmer copy was built expressly for Quebecois Gypsy jazz virtuoso and instructor Denis Chang (aka "Mich Mich"). Denis has a new AJL under construction so he's put this one up for sale. It features gorgeous, highly figured Brazilian rosewood back and sides, walnut neck, deluxe encased AJL tuners, and a Schatten pickup. This guitar comes with one of AJL's amazing ultra slim, ultra strong flight cases. It's so small you'd hardly believe the guitar could fit in there...and is so strong that heavy weight Andreas Oberg (another AJL endorser) can stand on it with out damaging the guitar inside (I'm serious, he tried it).

The Model 503 is a replica of Django's personal Selmer #503. It has only 4 braces (unlike the more conventional 5), which increases some of the bass response and rounds off the high end.

This guitar shows signs of wear, most notably some belt buckle scratches on the back and pick wear on the top. Playability and sound are great, and at this price is an incredible value (this guitar new would be over 5000 dollars).
