This is the incredible story behind the friendship of Jon Larsen, top jazz guitarist and music producer, and Jimmy Rosenberg, the Hendrix of Gypsy Jazz. Voyaging through the demanding world of entertainment we soon learn about the drugs, money and temptations that threaten to destroy one of the most exciting partnerships in jazz history. Jon and Jimmy, two men from different worlds drawn together by a burning love for Django, music, and their personal aspirations. As both men struggle to come to terms with influences beyond their control, jazz becomes a matter of life and death. Soon they find themselves caught up in a world of violence and murder threats. Jon and Jimmy is a 50 minute documentary exploring the friendship of Jon Larsen and Jimmy Rosenberg, their huge talent for Jazz and their love of the music of Django Reinhardt.
